PIG

Hello all, not being the geeky one in the family I've muffed up the blog settings so the profile has gone all wrong!

For those of you that don't know, PIG was set up in 2003 originally as a way for me and other anglophone families to get together informally. But as the children have grown it's become more important to do something for them and to support them being bilingual. PIG is way of making them realise that speaking two languages to something to be be proud of. There are no rules, you just have to be willing to join in the singing and learning music - often with your shoes off! All the children hear English at home and most of them speak it fluently. PIG isn't a place for children who don't already speak English as that would spoil the atmosphere for those who already do. We're not all English but all the children are bilingual English/French speakers.

We meet every Wednesday during term time at the Maison Pour Tous, Melina Mercouri, Montpellier at around 3.45pm until after 5, depending on how the children are playing and how cold we are! Come and join us...
