Feeling hot hot hot

The train was superb fun but now it's seriously time to cool off in a water park. There are 2 on offer by two inspired PIG people, so, dear PIGs, which do you choose? Being lazy and without air-con in the car I opt for the nearest... How about Weds 12th July with an early start, picnic and late afternoon getaway as before?

IDEA FOR PIG DAY OUT #1

Le Grand Bleu at La Grande Motte. It's a water park, with lots of shady picnic area under pine trees, plenty of child friendly water pools, and only a short drive away. Open 10 am to 8 pm Monday to Friday and 10 - 7pm Sat and Sun, it's heaven. Only point to remember is that blokes have to wear Speedo mini-briefs (ie not shorts - tee hee! - or should that be yuk?). Tel. 04 67 56 28 23 if you want detailed directions, or just follow the signs as you drive into La Grande Motte from Montpellier, making sure you take the first major fork left. It was free for kids under 5 last time I went, and 7,50 for older kids, and 9,50 for adults, but I'm looking at a piece of paper from 2004 so it may have gone up!

IDEA FOR PIG DAY OUT #2

Hi guys!

After the sweltering heat but good fun of the "petit train" and Bambouseraie, how do you all fancy a day of fun and games at Toon'sLand in the Cap d'Agde? It's quite pricey (surprise, surprise) at 10 Euros per child (aged 2 to 14) plus 6 Euros for adults, but everything's "libre accès" once you get in. Opening times 11 am till 7 pm every day. Carla went there on a school trip and had a great time...

There are plenty of non-water things too - bouncy castles, karting for older kids, giant teacups (!!), play areas...

Well, having started the ball rolling, I have to tell you we can't make the 12th either, as we're away on hols July 8 - 15, but don't that let stop you all from going out and having fun, wherever you decide to go. Enjoy!
