26th June - Splish, splosh, sploosh

Looks like the Le Grand Bleu at La Grand Motte is the winner in the 'nearby, groovy and not needing the motorway' waterpark stakes for the next PIG in puddles day out. In the event of it not being July, boiling hot and sunny let's roast chestnuts around my fireplace instead.

For Le Grand Bleu how about an early start to have a picnic and then post lunch getaway when your child feels ready and gently touches your elbow with a quiet 'Mummy may we go home please'.... alright a slight step into fantasy world there.

11am OK with you guys? Can anyone who knows the place recommend a meeting place?

Plouf, dans l'eau...

Great idea, early start makes good sense to me and Wanyi, who I bumped into last night on the Esplanade and who is going to come along for the ride in my hot, red, no air-con car. Best place to meet is inside: pay your money, waddle through the foot baths and you come out into a huge, open area with water pools all around. Walk towards the back and you'll see another gate and foot bath thing that leads through to the grassy green picnic area under the pine trees. I tend to camp fairly near, just past the ping pong table, but frankly it's not to huge that you wouldn't be able to spot us. When we've been before you're allowed to drag your buggy through the foot baths and gates and into the picnic area, so if you want to do this so babies can nap, don't be shy about asking.

See you there at 11!
